Best early items to stock
There is no single best shelf for every start: customer mix, difficulty and stock already on hand affect demand. A lower-risk opening is to sell goods early customers are documented to want, then use the case to bring in tomorrow’s shopper for a type you can supply.
- The customer reference lists early Spacer and Officer Lun visits as buyers of Food; it also lists other early buyers and their item types. Check the current entry before buying a narrow category.
- The display case attracts a buyer for the item type shown on the next day; a Neon Sign can draw a seller. Use that to align demand and restock.
- Compare published base value and supplier routes in the catalogue. Events, markup and condition can change a deal’s actual value.
- Avoid committing most of your rent reserve to a product whose buyer or supplier route is not yet available.
The sources do not establish a universal highest-profit opening inventory, so this is a demand-first shortlist method rather than a guaranteed profit build.
